This in patient pediatric unit is a 25-bed facility that provides care to pediatric patients and their families. The care team includes physicians, nurses, social workers, childlife specialists and other health care professionals delivers word-class medical treatment in a compassionate environment.. This unit is also home to The Teen and Young Adult Cancer Program for teens with cancer, allowing these teens to stay in a separate area in the unit and allows them to benefit from support groups, age-specific activities and a separate lounge with computers, music, and video games.

Choose Kindness Foundation has organized two fundraising events to support pediatric cancer patients at the UCLA Cancer Center in Santa Monica, Los Angeles. The first event took place in February 2020 and was organized a fundraising event, attended by 50 supporters, and donations. Donations were made in the form of gift cards, boardgames, toys, electronic items age appropriate for with teenagers/young adults and younger children. These items were collected and donated to be used in the teenage and children’s recreation rooms. At this event gift baskets were assembled for the children’s recreation rooms that included art supplies to be used by the younger patients.

The second event partnered with The Lou Dunst Foundation, who generously donated toys and games. CKF made up 50 gift packages each including toys, games, blankets, and loungewear, and was donated in December 2020.
