LevLaLev Girl’s Orphanage

Established by a group of Holocaust Survivors, LevLaLev Girl’s Orphanage provides a loving home and safe environment for Jewish girls who are orphaned,  whose parents cannot care for them, or have needed to be saved from an abusive situation. The girls are cared for with housing, clothing and education up until 18 years of age.
Choose Kindness Foundation is part of a program that supports college/university programs for these girls after their high school graduation. This year, Choose Kindness is involved in supporting eight high school graduates.

Meet Our Sponsored Children

Elisheva

Elisheva came to our home 5 years ago and she’s come a long way
since. With the help of a lot of therapy over the years she’s built and
ready for life.

Elisheva is a smart and intelligent girl who is working very hard to be able to go to Nursing School.

Shira & Hodaya

Shira & Hodaya are twin sisters. They had a very difficult childhood. Their parents were divorced and they lived by
their elderly grandparents. When they were in 7th grade they came to the home.

Today Lev LaLev is their home. We are the family that they have. Now that they are graduating high school, Hodaya wants to learn Interior Design and Shira wants to study to become a Medical Secretary.

Hadassah

Hadassah came to home at the age of 12 with her younger sister. Her parents were unable to care for her due to their own difficulties. She felt very alone and abandoned. Today she is a different person. Last week she was crying that she doesn’t want to leave and we encouraged her that she will always have an address to turn to, we will always be her home. She kept saying “There’s no place like this place!” She wants to study Special Ed next year

Esther

Esther had to move to our home because she was being abused by a family member. With lots of therapy over the years and constant help studying to get good marks, she was able to finish her schooling and graduate healthy emotionally and physically. She wants to study Art Therapy.

Hodaya

Hodaya’s father passed away when she was only 2 years old. Her mother was unable to care for her and so she was placed into foster care. When she was in 5th grade she joined our Home. She went a long way since she came here and did a lot with her life. She still has a lot to do but she wants to first do Sherut Leumi.

Rivka

Rivka’s parents are mentally ill. She was placed into foster care for a few years, but when she was 13 she came to the Home, and she slowly started the difficult process of recovery. She’s done a lot of work to get to where she is today from the confused young girl she was a few years ago. Today she considers the girls and staff at LevLaLev her family and does not want to leave. She wants to stay local and study in Bet Chana. She wants to study Special Ed.
